Carlsberg UK Launches 2015 Sustainability Report

Environment and healthy lifestyle achievements revealed in 2015 Carlsberg UK Sustainability Report​​.

Carlsberg UK has published its Sustainability Report 2015 detailing how it brews and sells its premium quality beer brands whilst minimising its environmental impact and making a positive contribution to society.

The report is aligned with Carlsberg Group’s global sustainability strategy and is structured into three focus areas:

  • Resources & Environment
  • Healthy Lifestyle
  • People & Policies

Headlines from Carlsberg UK’s Sustainability work in 2015 include:

  • 29% reduction in CO2 emissions since 2010
  • ISO 14001 certification at 100% of secondary logistics sites
  • Responsible drinking messages shared through its association with the Premier League, which has an aggregated annual viewership of 3 billion
  • 120,000 visitors to The Tetley contemporary art space in Leeds
  • ABV of two higher strength beer brands reduced from 9% ABV to 8% ABV as part of its commitment to thegovernment’s Public Health Responsibility Deal Packaging Pledge
  • £50,000 raised for charity partners, including Prostate Cancer UK

Further highlights in the report include:

  • Reflections on Carlsberg UK’s sustainability achievements in 2015 from CEO Julian Momen
  • Global case studies from the Carlsberg Group, including the ‘Cheers to Green Ideas’ crowdsourcing campaign and ‘Green Fiber Bottle’ innovation project
